A Scientific Fact about Fabric -

The Irrefutable Science of Cake
Studies show that cake makes you happy, and the prettier the cake, the happier it makes you. Now some people would complain that these so-called “studies” are not based in science at all and were all performed by me eating cake without the aid of any researchers or that kind of mumbo jumbo. But I did a really good job, I promise. In fact, you can recreate my study yourself if you want, just to make sure the results are reliable.

Step one: feel sad. This is is easy enough to do. You may need to wait for a rainy day or for your Hubs to eat the last of those truffles the neighbors brought over.

Step two: eat some cake. If you don’t have any lying around, try whipping up a mug cake. You can make them in your microwave and they only take a couple of minutes. (Now here’s a message for your jeans: Sorry I shared that. You’re about to be replaced by sweats.) You will notice that you feel a little better.

Step three: repeat step two, but this time with a pretty cake. I recommend something like this made by Linda at Bubble and Sweet:

If the cake is pretty enough, you should notice yourself giggling like a schoolgirl or perhaps skipping home if you picked up the cake at a bakery and it’s in one of those irresistible pink boxes.

See? Science. Pretty cake makes you happy. Now, the trouble is that it also provides you with about a hundred million calories that you’re probably not in need of right this moment, so this is not an experiment I recommend repeating “as needed”. In which case you may need a substitute.

Fabric is always a good choice: fresh, fun, lovely and zero calorie! This Basic Pastels precut is enchanting, and it’s even more enticing when you know that “pastel” is the Spanish word for cake!

Each Windham Basic Pastels Layer Cake contains 42 10" squares of fabric.
